A fantastic slr

Pros: This is without a doubt the best 35mm slr ever made.

Canon F-1 AE

Pros: Build Quality modular system. Good bodies have held their value.
Cons: A few vulnerable plastic parts such as AE finder window arm and battery door for winder FN. Cannot lock AE. AE is limited to 1 1000.

Reviews: The f-1 is beautifully crafted, and the body is so dense that mirror movement is unfelt (which may be why a mirror lockup was not designed into this body). I've had mine for 20 years, and it now needs shutter work for the second time, probably reasonable for a camera of this age...
