Combined features of top-of-the-line cameras RTS III and 167MT but with no mirror lock-up or multi exposure capability. Unique design places shutter speed and exposure mode selector dials on the user's camera left side rather than the traditional right side, similar to the RTS III.

Also with large size controls, exposure mode indicators and LCD top panel, which can be illuminated when shooting in low light. Manual metering, Aperture (AV) and Shutter (TV) Priority AE, Program AE, TTL OTF flash metering, center weighted averaging and spot metering, LED meter display, AE Exposure Compensation, A.B.C. Auto Bracketing, AE lock, dedicated hot shoe, PC sync terminal. Electronically controlled shutter speed range: 16 sec to 1/6000 in AV and Program modes, 1 sec to 1/4000 plus B and X in TV and Manual metering modes. X sync at 1/200, second curtain sync possible with TLA 280 flash.

ISO range 6-6400 when set manually. Auto DX range 25-5000. Integrated motor drive provides auto film load, advance (3 fps) and rewind. Interchangeable focusing screens (FW series), removeable back (provides dating function which prints data between frames), body grip, DOF preview, built-in diopter adjustment, LCD window on top panel.

Recommended flash: TLA 280. Optional accessories include: Battery Holder P7, Power Pack P-6, Supplemental Diopter lens (FM type), Right Angle Finder N, Magnifier F-2N, Case C-2. Requires MM lens for proper function in all metering modes, however, non-MM lenses (AE) will mount and can be used with limited metering capability. With a non-MM lens mounted: Shutter Priority and Program Modes will function as Aperture Priority Mode. Manual and Aperture Priority Modes will operate normally.
