Full digital display controls provide the most advanced functions at your fingertips. The 645 AF features integrated winder grip and eyelevel AE prism finder that are part of the magnesium covered die cast body. The new 645 AF system includes dedicated AF accessories, and accepts non-AF Mamiya 645 lenses for manual focus and manual diaphragm operation.
Mamiya 645AF auto focus is based on a TTL phase-difference detection system. A high-sensitivity H-shape CCD covers a wider focus area to assure precise plane-of-focus even for subjects incorporating vertical and horizontal.

All manual focus lenses are compatible with the new MAMIYA 645 AF. The non-AF lenses now have focus confirmation capability and stopped-down AE metering.
Rotating the pressure plate switches between 120 and 220 film. TTL direct flash control system to support Metz's SCA3000 module system. Exposure data can be imprinted outside the image area.
Data is in the camera body's memory, making it possible to continue the exposure number sequence without a break even when the film magazines are changed.
