Equipped with an electronic shutter, as all RZ lenses are, with speeds from 8 to 1/400 second plus B and T settings, the 180 f4.5 W-N allows flash synchronization at any speed. This can be an extremely useful feature for the pro especially when faced with having to balance strobe and ambient light on outdoor shoots. The electronic shutter also ensures that exposures are accurate every time. A new optical design has increased resolution and all but eliminated distortion and chromatic aberration.
