Use only AIS AF lenses. Non-AI lenses should not be mounted as damage may result. AIS Non-AF lenses may be used, but integral metering functions will not work. Similar to N2020, with built-in flash. Auto focus with manual override, focuslock.

Manual metering, aperture and shutter priority AE, program AE (normal and "HI" modes), AE lock, 3 zone multipattern metering in AE modes, TTL flash metering, auto fill flash, centerweighted metering pattern in manual mode. LED metering display. Camera shake warning, flash ready signal visible in VF. Built-in flash (GN 12, 35mm lens coverage).

Dedicated hot shoe. Shutter speed range: 1 sec to 1/2000 plus B, flash sync 1/1000, self timer. ISO film speed range 25-5000, Auto only DX setting. Auto film advance and rewind. Recommended flash: SB20, SB22.
