1980-83. (2-MS76) AIS lens mount. Third generation of Nikon professional system cameras. All black body. Meter is in the body rather than the finder, and works with all finders in place. StandardDE-2 prism has eyepiece shutter and VF illuminator, 100% VF image. Titanium shutter. Manual metering and Aperture preferred AE, TTL OTF flash metering, 80/20 metering pattern (80% of reading taken from 12mm circle in center of screen), stop down meterin possible. LCD display in finder, AE compensation, AE lock. No standard ISO hot shoe included, but can be added with optional AS-4 or AS-7 adapter (non-TTL hot shoe adapters, will transmit flash ready signal). F3 series dedicated flash attach via unique F3 foot at film rewind crank. PC sync terminal. Shutter speed range: 8 sec to 1/2000 plus T & B, flash sync at 1/80, self timer. Mechanical shutterspeed: 1/60, tripped via switch on front of body. ISO film speed range: 12-6400. Manual film advance and rewind.
