Accepts AI lens mount. Update of FE which added: TTL OTF flash AE, titanium shutter, high shutter speed 1/4000, X- sync 1/250, improper exposure warning. Manual and aperture preferred AE metering, centerweighted (60/40) metering pattern, LED and needle meter display, exposure comp., AE hold, dedicated hot shoe, PC sync terminal. Shutter speed range 8 sec to 1/4000 plus B, flash sync at 1/250, self timer. ASA range 12-4000, multi exposure capability, interchangable focusing screens, removable back, DOF preview. Electronically controlled shutter speeds, however, there is a mechanical 1/250 setting. LED battery check. Stopped down metering with non-AI lenses.
