Congratulations to our Top Pic of the Week, Erik Kenmore.  Erik is a member of our KEH Sales Team. Read on to learn more about the production of his photos.

I started in the photography industry in 1997 when I was hired by Wolf Camera in Atlanta. When I started, I did not know anything about photography, it was just a job at that point. As I learned the business, I caught on fast and really starting to enjoy the business.

I am definitely more of a sports photographer than anything else. I enjoy taking photos of nature and scenery also.

Anticipate the plays, to get the right angle of your shots and be able to tell the story. It's important to learn your gear and try to take the photo correctly the first time. Don't use Photoshop as a crutch.  I am a fan of taking photos, not sitting in front of a computer doctoring them up. Photography is a lot of trial and error until you find your groove.

The gear I currently own is a Sony A65 with an 18-135 and 70-300 lens. I also have a Canon G7 that use when I don't want to carry around my SLR gear.

These images were captured at Fowler Softball Complex in Cumming, GA. I used a Canon 7D II to take these photos. I utilized the cameras 65 point autofocus system and the 10 frames per second. The lens used was the Canon 70-200 2.8 L I.S. lens. to create the nice depth of field.

Thank you, Erik, for allowing us to share these photos! Check out his KEH Stories feature where he shares with us more about his role at KEH here.
