As 2025 comes to a close, we turned the lens inward to check in with our Brand + Marketing team. What moments reminded them why they fell in love with photography in the first place? Which frames made everything else fade away? And as we look ahead, what creative risks, experiments, or personal goals are calling them in 2026?<\/span><\/p>\n

Q: What\u2019s one thing you captured in 2025 that made you stop and say, \u201cYeah, this is why I love photography\u201d?<\/b>
<\/b>I moved to Atlanta this year, and being able to explore the Botanical Gardens over the summer was a grounding moment. Being outside, surrounded by light, texture, and color reminded me how much nature inspires me. As creative director, I\u2019m always thinking about, composition, balance and feeling\u2014and this was a reminder of why I like making things.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Q: What\u2019s something new you want to try or improve in your photography in 2026?<\/b>
<\/b>I want to lean into more motion\/movement work. Q: What\u2019s one thing you captured in 2025 that made you stop and say, \u201cYeah, this is why I love photography\u201d?<\/b><\/p>\n

I was in New York earlier this year and shot a lot around the city. It made me fall in love with New York even more, but it also reminded me how much I enjoy capturing its essence on film. It\u2019s such a fast-paced city, always something to see, and I was scared I might miss something! However, shooting film forced me to slow down, be more intentional, and be more present. I made plenty of mistakes after seeing most of the photos, but I still feel like they came out great and captured my experience there. It also reminded me that my photography doesn\u2019t have to be perfect or “technically correct” to be meaningful and beautiful. Just capture what you love!<\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Q: What\u2019s something new you want to try or improve in your photography in 2026?<\/b>

Q: What\u2019s one thing you captured in 2025 that made you stop and say, \u201cYeah, this is why I love photography\u201d?<\/b>
<\/b>My recent trip to NY reminded me I love photography. I’ve been doing mostly commercial work lately and I haven’t had time to shoot for myself so just walking. Just walking around the city with my favorite camera in hand was just exactly what I needed.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Q: What\u2019s something new you want to try or improve in your photography in 2026?<\/b>
<\/b>There are a few things that I want to improve this upcoming year. I want to focus on photographing things that actually make me excited to photograph. Meaning saying no more photography client work that does not serve me. The plan is to not get overwhelmed to the point of a burn out. I also would love to purchase a large format camera which is long overdue. And lastly, I just need to stop being lazy and develop my own film. Q: What\u2019s one thing you captured in 2025 that made you stop and say, \u201cYeah, this is why I love photography\u201d?<\/b>
<\/b>I was in Scotland and Ireland this past fall and the landscape out there was incredible. Two places in particular where the Cliffs of Moher and Old Man of Store. I could have easily spent my entire trip at just these two places taking images.<\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Q: What\u2019s something new you want to try or improve in your photography in 2026?<\/b>
<\/b>Just slowing down and shooting with one camera for a while. Like a six-month challenge. Q: What\u2019s one thing you captured in 2025 that made you stop and say, \u201cYeah, this is why I love photography\u201d?<\/b>
<\/b>Any time I take a photo that truly captures what I SEE in real life is such a joy. But on the flip side, taking advantage of technology that allows me to capture what I can\u2019t see with my naked eye is what makes photography truly magical. The Blood Moon I photographed back in March is a great example, which I captured with my Fuji 100-400mm lens.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Q: What\u2019s something new you want to try or improve in your photography in 2026?<\/b>
<\/b>I would like to improve my astrophotography. I tend to avoid using a tripod because it feels restricting, but it’s pretty essential for sharp astro photos. So my biggest challenge will be to ground myself.
