This mount is made for Tamron Adaptall lenses. It does not have any aperture control, so it must be stopped down prior to taking pictures. The Nikon mount will work on all Nikon SLR cameras. Some digital models such as the D40, D3000 etc., will only work in manual exposure mode. You will have to meter manually. Professional Nikon will work in Aperture Priority Mode.
