Steve Best

A graduate of: Emory & Henry College with a BA, Randolph Technical Institute with a AS in Photography, and Georgia State University with an MBA. My career started at Hinkle Photographics in Chattanooga 1978 then as studio manager/VP Photography at 3 Score in Atlanta 1982. 3 Score began my work in catalog photography. I left 3 Score in 1997 for California at Robinsons May / Meier & Frank Department Stores which eventually became part of Macy’s as Senior Manager Imaging Operations. In 2005 I started with Ambrosi/Schawk as Photography Manager that brought me back to Atlanta. In 2009 I became CEO/Executive Director of American Photographic Artists (APA). In 2014 I began as Photography Manager Creative with The Home Depot and then in 2018 began in Customer Service with KEH Camera. Throughout this career path I was an active member of Professional Photographers of America serving in various volunteer positions and then elected to the PPA Board of Directors in 1994. Served as President in 2003 and Chairman of the Board in 2004.
