430EZ: GN 116. For use with EOS cameras, introduced with EOS 1. Similar to 420EZ but with improved stroboscopic effect, user controlled fill-in flash ratio. A-TTL and TTL auto flash modes, variable power manual flash (down to 1/32 power), bounce, swivel and zoom head, rapid fire flash capability, second curtain sync, flashready light, AF auxiliary light to assure sharp AF even in darkness, Save Energy function, auto internal zoom matches matches lens in use (24mm - 80mm coverage). LCD panel, stroboscopic effect up to 5 flashes per second. Batteries: 4- AA, NiCad OK. Optional external power sources: Compact Battery Pack E (6- AA or NiCad) and Transistor Pack E (can be used with either Battery Magazine TP which holds 6- C cells or Rechargable NiCad pack TP).
