Echoing its predecessors, the DiMage A2/A1, the DiMage A2000 features a smaller, more rounded body with an ergonomic design. The A200 delivers an abundance of photographic features, including 7x optical zoom that covers an equivalent focal length of 28-200mm. The DiMange A200 offers 2x digital zoom or 4x interpolated digital zoom options, sixteen elements in thirteen groups with two AD glass elements and two aspherical elements, Minolta's Anti-Shake system, 11-point AF system, vari-angle 1.8" LCD display, and 3D AF system using Minolta 3D Predictive Focus Control. The DiMage A200 tracks the subject as it moves through the frame to ensure proper focus.
