The incorporated ED lens element holds chromatic aberration to the absolute minimum, providing excellent resolution throughout the entire aperture range. The 9-blade diaphragm creates a clear circular aperture rendering beautiful bokeh effect. The lens focuses down to a mere 2.5 meter with a max magnification ratio of 1:9.2. The lens has 360° rotatable tripod socket promoting quick and secure change from horizontal to vertical orientation. It also has a built-in telescopic bayonet-type lens hood. The lens also couples fully to both the full-aperture metering systems and automatic diaphragm mechanisms of all Nikon 35mm SLR cameras.
