Description

Nikkor-S. 5cm (50mm) F/1.4 is a fast, compact standard lens designed for Nikon rangefinder bodies. After its introduction in 1950, the 5cm lens became the world's first f/1.4 lens for any 35mm camera. This lens became popular among the Nikon rangefinders of the 1950s. The lens has seven elements in three groups optic construction, 12 iris circular blades (opens perfectly at each setting), 3 feet close focusing distance and 43mm filter thread. Its surface coating helps minimize flare.
