Very similar to Nikkormat ELW, except EL-2 is more compact body design, takes AI lenses, electronically controlled shutter, silicon (SPD) cells in light meter, and no stop-down metering capability. Manual metering. Center weighted averaging metering pattern that takes 60% of the reading from the center 12mm circle in the finder, exp. comp., needle meter display. Hot shoe, PC sync terminal, shutter speed range 8 sec to 1/1000 plus B, flash sync at 1/125, self timer. ASA range 12-3200, mirror lockup, DOF preview. Mechanical shutter speeds: B and 1/90. Accepts optional winder AW-1.
