The Nikon F Photomic was introduced in 1962 (discontinued in 1966). The Nikon F Photomic was the first metered Nikon F manual SLR camera with external metering. The F design was Nikon's first SLR featuring interchangeable viewfinders and focusing screens. It is fully manual with incredible toughness and reliability. The coupled Photomic finder includes a built-in Cds cell exposure meter coupled to the lens aperture and shutter speed. The battery compartment is in the prism. This is the only Photomic finder without TTL metering.
