Sony UPX-2000 Passport Camera Description

This self-contained system consists of a digital camera with built-in LCD viewfinder, photo-realistic quality digital printer and camera docking station, creating a fully digital system that requires no PC or keyboard. With this system, consumers preview and select the image from the viewfinder, and then, almost instantly, receive high-resolution prints, simply and inexpensively. The print media used with the UPX-2000 system is compliant with federal standards for U.S. passport photos, and is approved by many other world authorities for government documentation applications. Boasting photo-realistic reproduction and excellent image stability, the media uses a durable laminate that accepts writing and stamps, and resists fading and surface damage such as fingerprints and scratches. Return on Investment. Compared to chemical-based instant photography, the UPX-2000 offers dramatically lower print media cost and, because the image is approved before it is printed, there is a significant reduction in waste. For the business owner, this translates into higher profits and a greater return on investment. The camera captures and then displays images on its color LCD viewfinder. After preview and selection of the preferred photo, the camera simply snaps into the docking station and the selected image is printed in approximately 120 seconds. The next photo can be taken as quickly as 20 seconds after pushing print, by detaching the camera from the station.
