FD lens mount. Auto focus with specific AF lenses, manual focus with FD lenses. Distinguishing feature of this camera is the Quick Focus System which can activate seperate AF lenses for AF use, or with FD lenses it can operate as an electronic focus-assist feature. Green and red LED arrows in viewfinder indicate proper focus. Uses Canon AF 50mm/1.8 or AF 35-70mm/4 zoom with seperate AF motors and windows, or FD lenses for manual focus with focus assist. Otherwise, similar to AV-1 with addition of extended manually set shutter speed range, use of 2- AAA batteries rather than PX-28. Manual metering, centerweighted metering pattern, needle meter display, 1.5 stop backlight exposure compensation, dedicated hot shoe. Shutter speed range: 2 sec to 1/1000 (in AE mode only, manually set shutter speed range: 1/15 - 1/1000) plus B, flash sync at 1/60, self timer. ISO film speed range: 25-1600, manual film advance and rewind. Body grip. Silicon metering cells, battery check button, shutter speed info and camera shake warning visible in VF.
