Hasselblad Extension Tube 32E move the lens further from the film plane thus allowing photography at closer distances. The extension tube is equipped with electronic connections to transmit lens data to the 200 series cameras with built-in metering. The extension tube is used alone or paired with 8E, 16E, and 56E tubes. For the highest quality couple the extension tube with Planar, Makro-Planar or Sonnar lens types, especially for higher magnifications.
Extension tubes are mounted between the camera and the lens (attach tube to camera before mounting the lens). When using more than one tube, attach the first one to the camera body and then build out, attaching the lens last. Conversely, remove the lens from the extension tube first before removing the extension tube from the camera body. If using more than one tube, remove the tube closest to the lens first and work back toward the camera body. Consider an increase in the exposure when the meter reading is made with a handheld meter.
