The NOCTILUX-M is the world's first F/1 lens for 35mm cameras that has been mass produced. Because of this extraordinary optical performance it is eminently suited not only for photographing at twilight, but for night photography without a flash - the light of a single candle can be sufficient. It produces outstanding contrast rendition, so that barely noticeable color differences are faithfully separated and the finest details are resolved accurately.
