Essentially new with no signs of use. In manufacturer's packaging with original accessories and instructions.
Barely used with virtually no traces of wear. Only the closest inspections will reveal slight use. Perfect glass, but the box and accessories are usually not included.
Lightly used with very limited signs of wear. Exceptionally nice but may have slight wear on finish visible. Glass will be very clean.
Noticeably used with average signs of wear. Shows moderate wear for the age of the item, with the possibility of dings or blemishes. Glass may have slight blemishes but will not affect picture quality.
Frequently used with above-average wear. More than average wear for the age of the item, and may have dents, dings or finish loss. Glass may have marks or blemishes, but should not affect picture quality.

Designed for the Leica R System, the Leica 50mm f/2 Summicron ROM (manufactured 1996-2009) is a standard lens with outstanding build and image quality.  With a solid metal construction, the lens is still relatively light weight at just 10.2 oz and only 1.58" long, which makes it ideal for hiking and travel.

The Leica 50mm f/2 Summicron has a built-in hood that can retract into the body. Extended, the hood reduces stray light that might enter the lens, resulting in high contrast images with little to no chromatic aberration.

Quite sharp wide open, the Leica 50mm f/2 Summicron gets tack sharp at f/4 while still retaining the creamy bokeh you expect from Leica glass.  The E55 ROM edition has a more neutral color than the previous, warmer, E48 version.  With approximately 270  of rotation, the smooth focus barrel gives optimum control for fine-tuning your scene.
