Description

The Leica XOOIM or 12521G is a reversible lens hood for the first two versions of the Leica's 50mm Summilux f/1.4 lens. The Summilux I & II were primarily manufactured as M-mount lenses but some Leica Thread Mount models were made as well. Leica shades originally intended for screw mount lenses are generally referenced by part identifiers that consist of letters and shades for M-mount lenses are generally referenced by numerical identifiers, hence the two different names for what is functionally the same model. Leica also manufactured more than one style of hood for these lenses; the XOOIM / 12521G is a conical and non-vented shade.
