Smartphone. Point and shoot camera. Neither of the two are designed to be as one--so we imagined. Sony has designed the Cyber-shot DISC-QX100 to promote the use of a point-and-shoot with a smartphone. This awesome technology contains a lens, sensor, processor, and use your smartphone provides the user interface. The QX-100 has 20 megapixel 1" CMOS sensor and fast Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T f/1.8 zoom lens. It has a focal length equivalent to 28-100mm lens. The Optical Steady Shot Image Stabilization minimizes the impact of camera shake, thus allowing for handheld photography. The shutter button and zoom toggle of the QX100 and Qx10 are able to operate as standalone cameras, but designed to work coupled with smartphones via Sony's PlayMemories Mobile application.
