The Sony 300mm f/2.8 G SSM II is a full-frame, super telephoto lens designed for the Sony A-mount system. It is an ideal lens for for nature and sports photographers and delivers an outstanding level of Sony G Lens performance. The lens brings with it high-resolution performance and smooth bokeh that is pleasing to the eye.

With built-in Super Sonic wave motor, the fast f/2.8 full-frame 300mm autofocus system produces high torque at slow rotation, providing smooth and silent operation with immediate start and stop response. The Extra-low Dispersion (ED) lens design and superior Nano AR coating reduce chromatic aberration and provide exceptional contrast across the entire image. The unique 9-blade circular aperture produces a creamy circular bokeh that G Lenses are celebrated for.

The Sony 300mm features quiet internal focusing, so only the middle groups of the lens move without changing the overall length of the lens. With the flip of a switch, quickly swap from autofocus to manual without taking your eye off your subject and use one of the four on-barrel focus holds to keep the lens locked at your focal distance. The Sony 300mm also enables dual DMF (Direct Manual Focus) modes, a focus range switch (full or limited focal range to reduce hunting), and a function that measures the distance to the subject before focusing.
