Low Profile Head plus Magnesium! The low profile heads provide solid support and flexibility for heavier large format cameras. The distance from the top of the tripod to the camera platform is reduced to ensure that the centre of gravity of the camera is kept over the middle of the tripod to avoid the possibility of overbalancing. This head can pan smoothly through 360ø and provide a vertical tilt of +90ø and -20ø. Side to side movement is 60ø to the left and 90ø to the right, allowing the photographer to direct the camera at virtually any angle without compromising on stability. Available in Magnesium with up to 20% weight savings. Magnesium heads are identified by the letter "M" added to the model number. The G1570M has a larger platform and two fixing screws and is especially suitable for monorail cameras. It is supplied with 1/4" and 3/8" camera mounting screws.
