The Zeiss 55mm Otus offers a high-speed f/1.4 aperture allowing for a shallow depth of field and bright viewing, even when shooting in difficult dim light.  The full-frame lens is built solid and has been sculpted to an elegant and smooth design.  The smooth manual focus system utilizes a rubberized focusing ring with 248° of rotation.

With one aspherical and half the 12 elements being made from anomalous partial dispersion glass, the lens reduces chromatic and spherical aberrations and resulting images are almost completely free of color artifacts.  Legendary Zeiss T* coating delivers superb contrast and precise color delivery expected by today's professionals.  With near-zero geometric distortion, the Zeiss Otus 55mm f/1.4 gives you crisp edge to edge sharpness.  Wide open, you can expect a lens perfect for dreamy scenes with unmatched bokeh demanded by today's professional photographers.
