Description

The Z-series Carl Zeiss Makro-Planar T* 2/100 is a fast macro telephoto lens ensuring max. magnification ratio 1:2. A new construction consisting of floating elements is used to ensure high quality without distortion over a wide range of focusing. Therefore the lens can be used as a portrait for FF cameras with a shallow depth of field and high resolution when wide open.

It is equipped with the precision mechanism of focusing with the wide angle of ring rotation. The ?*- coating reduces flare, scattered light, and provides good and warmer color rendering. An almost circular aperture produces a harmonious bokeh. It is remarkable for its solid and durable full-metal brass casing with a chromium-plate bayonet. The front element does not rotate while focusing. The focusing distance data are not transmitted to the camera. On the lens there is a DOF scale dependent on aperture settings. It was elaborated in Germany, but is made in Cosina (www.cosina.co.jp), Japan, under quality control of the Carl Zeiss.
