KEH Stories: Anwar Nasir

Here’s your insider’s look into KEH Camera and our team. Check out #KEHSpotlight each month, where we showcase team members. This month, we interviewed our Warehouse Manager, Anwar Nasir.

Hey Anwar! Thanks for agreeing to share your background with our customers. To begin, please tell us a little about yourself.

My name is Anwar Nasir and I am 41 years old. I’m the warehouse manager here at KEH and I have been in a leadership position in Shipping & Receiving for around 18 years. My passion as well as most of my credentials are in Inventory Control. I enjoy being able to find things that others lose.

How long have you been a KEH employee? What is your role here and what does it entail?

I started at KEH in February of 2016. My role as warehouse manager includes ensuring that packages are shipped and received in a timely and accurate manner, as well as accurately maintaining the flow of inventory to the shelves and, eventually, to the customer.

What is your favorite thing about your role here? How does your role support our vision/mission?

My favorite thing about this role is that I get to make customers happy while still pursuing my passion. It fits well with our mission which centers around customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.

Those who work with you know that you have a very exuberant personality! It really keeps us going through the day. How do you keep that same energy daily? What excites you about coming into work each day?

Well I am thankful to have a job! Not only that, but it’s what I love to do. So I’m really happy and my goal in life has always been to make everyone around me happy. I also like a challenge, and every day I come to work, I am presented with a different challenge. So, most days I am excited to come to work. I think I’m excited about everything!

The future of KEH is so bright! Share with us what you’re most excited about and how you continue to motivate your team?

My favorite thing about the future of KEH is that we are growing. We have new management that sees the big picture and they are doing great things to grow the company. I am happy to be a part of that growth and development.

Here’s a fun question, if you could BE any camera, what would you be and why?

I would like to be a Leica M6 or M9 because, from what I hear, they can take a lot of abuse and still get great shots.

Do you have other special talents or hobbies?

I like to repair cars and fix electronics. My dad had a paint and body shop while I was growing up. So, most of my life I have either been tearing things up or fixing things. I like to work on cars both mechanically and cosmetically.
