The Canon 7D Digital SLR Camera is an action-oriented APS-C format DSLR.  It's one of the most capable cameras around for sports or wildlife photography, and with it's extensive feature set and tough construction it's a top pro grade choice for a multiple of other applications from portrait to outdoor.&nsbp; Inside the 7D is an 18 megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor and dual Digic 4 processors able to produce amazing quality images at a very fast 8fps (frames per second) rate for bursts of up to 125 jpegs at a time.  Couple the shooting speed wit an ultra responsive high sensitivity autofocus system comprised of 19 cross-type phase detection sensor points and you'll find the camera can keep up with action extremely well.  The 7D also features a magnesium alloy, weather sealed body, so it's prepared for real world inclement conditions.

Originally introduced in late 2009 the EOS 7D represents a whole new class of DLSR camera for Canon.  Made to be the tool of choice for serious photographers or pros it was designed to be Canon's best APS-C format camera.  In late 2014 Canon introduced a successor the EOS 7D Mark II; while the Mark II features numerous refinements the original 7D remains a very popular option offering serious functionality and outstanding value.
