Entry level EOS, same as EOS Rebel II with addition of built-in pop-up flash; update of EOS Rebel S with high shutter speed now 1/2000 and soft focus function added. FEATURES INCLUDE: Auto focus with manual override, AF lock. Manual metering, aperture and shutter priority AE, program AE with various modes including Green Zone full auto mode, intelligent program, DOF AE, Flash AE (TTL and A-TTL with Speedlites 430EZ, 300EZ) and soft focus function. PIC (Programmed Image Control) modes: Portrait, Landscape, Close-up and Sports. Metering patterns: 3 zone evaluative, centerweighted averaging (in manual mode only), 9.5% partial of the central image area. Built-in pop-up flash: GN 46, 35mm lens coverage, red-eye reduction, TTL OTF metering. Shutter speed range 30 sec to 1/2000 plus B, flash sync at 1/90, self timer. Auto DX ISO range 25- 5000 with manual override (manual ISO range 6-6400). Built-in motordrive provides auto film advance (pre-wind system) and rewind (mid roll rewind possible), multi exp. capability.
