The Leica 24mm F/2.8 Elmarit-M Aspherical (11878) is a wide-angle manual focus lens built for the Leica M-system, ideal lens for landscape, photojournalism, and for architectural work.
The rugged all-metal barrel on the Leica 24mm has an aspherical design with seven elements in five groups to produce sharp images with minimal distortion and gorgeous color rendering; making it ideal for street and general photography. The Leica 24mm f/2.8 Elmarit-M includes one lens element with anomalous partial dispersion and two other elements made of optical glasses with high refraction to provide outstanding contrast. The design keeps the lens compact at just 45 mm (1.77 in.) and 290g (10.2 oz), so there is minimal obstruction when looking through the view finder.
With a maximum f/2.8 aperture and minimum focus distance of 0.7m (2.3ft), you can achieve an impressive depth-of-field and astonishingly sharp imagery.
