The Leica M-P (Type 240) is a 24 MegaPixel digital camera and part of Leica's world famous M system of rangefinder cameras and lenses.  The M-P ("M dash P") was inspired by the legendary Leica MP a low profile 35mm film camera Leica favored by numerous photojournalists.  The M-P inherits it's namesake's understated exterior (including the absence of front logo and lettering).  With the reduced look of the classic no-logo style, the Leica M-P has an unobtrusive appearance making it a professional tool with a unique identity.

Leica's tradition of building the worlds's most solid cameras continues: the build quality on the M-P is first class thanks in part to a milled brass top and bottom plates, solid magnesium case, durable grip surface, and scratch resistant sapphire glass display cover. 

The M-P is as reliable and extoll-able for it's images quality as it is for it's physical design; the full frame 24 megapixel Max CMOS Sensor captures excellent detail and the Maestro Image Processor faithfully records images rendered by the worlds best lenses.

The M-P is the perfect camera for candid, travel, documentary, & street photography.  It's a seriously satisfying tool for quality conscious photographers who defy labels but want Leica images.
