A lot happened in the United States in 1959. Alaska and Hawaii joined the Union, Floyd Patterson lost his heavyweight title to Ingemar Johansson, Bobby Darin singing "Mack the Knife" filled the AM airwaves and Charlton Heston in "Ben Hur" was battling Steven Boyd in the greatest movie chariot race of all time . In Japan, Minolta was producing the SR-1, its second SLR. Collect a piece of history.
