Nikon Coolpix 8400 Digital Camera, introduced latter 2004 by the Nikon Corporation, was designed to compete at the middle of the prosumer digital camera market. The Nikon Coolpix 8400 incorporates most Coolpix 8800 top-end features, minus its anti-shake system and long zoom lens. The 3.5x Nikkor ED lens has an equivalent focal length of 24-85mm and incorporates two glass-molded ED (extra-low dispersion) lens elements to minimize chromatic aberrations for sharp clear photos. Macro option allows shooting as close as 3cm. It also features continuous shooting at 2.3 frames per second.
The Coolpix 8400 has automatic selection of the best relative exposure using Auto-Exposure-BSS (AE-BSS) and exposure modes to give you the highest degree of creative control possible. Cooplix 8400 has one touch dial operation for ease of control. Nikon D-Lighting accommodates for underexposed areas or inadequate flash without an impact on properly exposed areas. Coolpix 8400 includes in-camera red-eye fix, PictBridge for direct printing capabilities, and PictureProject Software for organization and transfer of your photos.
