This HB57 lens shade is manufactured to coordinate with the Nikon AF-S 55-300mm f/4.5-5.6G ED VR lens. Using a lens shade ensure that your lens will be protected if it is accidentally dropped. Lens shades also prevent lens flare from entering the lens.
