The Nikon Nikkor 200-400mm f/4 G AF-S ED-IF VR is a super telephoto zoom lens designed for photographers who need the highest quality images, magnification, and speed along with the framing versatility that only a zoom can provide. A newer version exists, the Nikkor 200-400mm F/4 G AF-S ED-IF VR II (Nikon USA model #2187) featuring somewhat enhanced VR capabilities and coating technology but the optical formulas are the same so this model remains popular and more affordable.
