Nikon Nikkorex F 35mm Camera Body, Chrome Nippon Kogaku (Version 1A with Film Reminder Dial)
$0.00-$0.00
The NIKKOREX F is a focal plane shutter SLR camera with the same bayonet lens mount as the Nikon F. The Nikkorex F first appeared in June of 1962 and was noted as one of the top-of-the-line Nikkorex models. It was designed to bring the advantages of TTL viewing, yet meter-less, to consumers that were not interested in the flexibility and cost of the F system. Equipped with Copal Square - type 1 unit-type focal plane shutter with vertically-traveling metal blade with shutter speeds of 1 to 1/1000 second (1/125 sync). The Nikkorex F is an F-mount camera compatible with Nikon/Nikkorex interchangeable lenses and Nikkorex F-meter.
Its design was a radical change from the earlier model(s). It was generally seen as the pre-Nikkormat model as it's exterior, controls, top panel layout control as well as the new hinged film back were taking shape to operate like a modern SLR. The Nikkorex F is fascinating camera to collect as though it was like a hybrid camera mid between the professional F and the subsequent Nikkormat model. This is the only Nikkorex model among all available commercial produced Nikkorex that carried with such a design.
