Sony E 50mm f/1.8 OSS compact and lightweight lens is perfect for portraiture and other photographic applications. Its fast maximum aperture provides impressive image quality in low-light situations and when video recording. The internal focusing lens employs Optical SteadyShot to counteract blur caused by camera shake during hand-help shooting. The E lens has a unique lens design, found in all α lenses, that keeps the aperture almost perfectly circular from it wide-open setting to when it is closed by 2 stops for a more smoother natural defocusing result. Direct Manual Focus (DMF) facilitates fast, easy fine focus adjustments by allowing the user to directly switch to manual focusing after AF lock-on is activated.
