The Voigtlander Nokton 58mm f/1.4 SL II is a quick, standard prime lens with a proprietary multi-coating. This is an all-metal construction with a metal focusing ring that is silky smooth and has the right amount of resistance to apply desired adjustments.
This is a manual focus lens that employs electronic contacts to completely support all metering modes and aperture control from the camera. Its in-focus indicator in the camera viewfinder remains active to give a guidance other than the visual feedback although a split-image screen will help increase your keeper rate, specifically at large aperture settings. The lens employs 40° angle of view, 7 elements in 6 groups lens construction, 9 aperture blades, 0.45m close focusing distance and 58mm filter thread.
