The Canon 1.4X EF Extender III is a professional grade teleconverter designed exclusively for use with select Canon brand L-Series lenses (focal lengths over 135mm). Extending a lenses focal length by a factor of 1.4x, Extender EF 1.4X III incorporates incorporates careful lens placement and state of the art coatings for phenomenal optical performance with minimal chromatic aberration and minimal flare or ghosting. The converter also features a built-in microcomputer for seamless communication between camera body, lens, and extender. Extender EF 1.4X III maintains high standards not only optically, but also in terms of rugged, dustproof and weather resistant construction and features a fluorine coating keeps soiling, smears and fingerprints to a minimum. Often an integral part of a professional's kit, Extender EF 1.4X III is a very practical complement to compatible* telephoto lenses.
