Professional model with sturdy body construction. Predictive AF feature and new AF control which reads contrast in horizontal and vertical position. Manual metering, aperture and shutter priority AE, program AE with variable shift, DOF AE and OTF Flash AE (A-TTL and TTL). Also programmable custom functions for specific shooting situations such as landscape, portrait, sports and close-up. Metering patterns: 6 zone evaluative, center-weighted averaging, 5.8% partial and 2.3% fine spot. LCD and LED metering displays, exp. comp., auto bracketing, AE lock, dedicated hot shoe, PC sync terminal. Shutter speed range 30 sec to 1/8000 plus B, flash sync at 1/250, self timer. Auto DX ISO range 25-5000 with manual override (manual ISO range 6-6400). Auto film advance (2.5 fps) and rewind, multi exposure capability, interchangeable focusing screens, removable back, DOF preview. Film rewind can be changed to allow the film leader to be left out. Quick Control Dial allowing immediate exposure adjustment and compensation introduced with this camera. Power Drive Booster E1 allows up to 5.5 fps auto film advance.
