• How does the rental work?

  Whim charges a monthly fee for this rental service and offers full flexibility. Use your product for as long as you like with no long-term commitment and cancel anytime and return with no cancellation or shipping fees. If your product has an issue, Whim will provide a no-cost replacement to minimize any downtime.

• What will I be charged?

  Upon completion of your order, you authorize Whim to place a hold of the monthly rental fee + tax, captured once your order is approved. Your rental renews automatically at the same monthly rental fee + tax each month until you cancel in Whim's rental account portal. If you cancel your rental and you do not return the device within seven days, Whim may periodically charge possession fees equal to your recurring rate, calculated daily.

• How does canceling and returning work?

  You can cancel your rental at any time by contacting Whim or logging into your account with password-less login at rent.keh.com. You will no longer make recurring monthly payments for your rental after you cancel. Whim will send you a prepaid return label so you can pack and ship your items.

  There are no cancellation or shipping fees. Whim does not prorate unused days in your final month. If you don’t return your item within 7 days, you may be assessed fees for continued possession of the rental equipment. In cases of severe damage from misuse or abuse, a damage fee may apply.

• How do I purchase it? How does this differ from financing or rent-to-own?

  The trial is not financing or rent-to-own: there’s no long-term commitment, no accruing ownership, and no waiting for a term to end.

  Separate from your trial, you can request a purchase quote anytime through support or your customer portal; pricing is based on our assessment of fair market value, depends on factors like release dates, product age, product condition, demand, and inventory. Entering into a subscription does not guarantee that you will receive a purchase quote for your rental equipment.

  Purchase quotes will have separate terms and conditions, and if you buy the product, you gain ownership but will lose unlimited-rental benefits. Rental payments do not apply toward any purchase quote offered.

• What’s included? What’s the no-cost replacements policy?

  Your rental includes KEH Certified™ pre-owned gear in EX grade or better, along with standard operating accessories.

  Whim will supply a comparable no-cost replacement for any problem arising from normal use. Your product is eligible as long as payments remain current. In cases of severe damage from misuse or abuse, a damage fee may apply up to full replacement cost.

• What is a "KEH Certified" Rental?

  KEH Certified™ means rental gear you can count on. Every item is inspected and tested by our experts to meet the same rigorous quality standards behind the pre-owned gear KEH has been trusted for since 1979.

• What is the relationship between KEH and Whim?

  Whim is KEH's trusted partner for the monthly rental program. KEH provides and certifies all the high-quality pre-owned gear for the rental program. Whim is the company that manages the rental contract, secure checkout, and all monthly billing.

• Who is eligible? What regions are supported?

  You must be at least 18 years old to start a trial. A valid U.S. government-issued ID may be required to verify your age and identity. Trials are only available to residents of the contiguous 48 United States; we do not offer trials in Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. Territories, or other countries.
