The Canon 7D Mark II is a great, pro-level camera that is optimized for action photography. It has a magnesium alloy, enhanced weather sealed body with a 20MP APS-C CMOS sensor. It is capable of a staggering 10 fps burst rate which is fantastic for action as well as a huge 65 point AF system with all of them being cross type. Not to mention the maximum 1/8000 th of a second shutter speed.. All of this helps you not miss the important shot or the focus when the action gets fast. It is also capable of 1080p video recording. On the back there is a 3'', 1.04 million dot screen which is great for checking shots and navigating menus. While this camera does have a lot of features that would benefit an action or sports photographer, it is still perfectly suited to do plenty of other kinds of photography styles.
