Canon PowerShot G1X Mark II Digital Camera with Standard Grip {12.8MP}

The Canon Powershot G1X Mark II is a premium high end compact digital camera with a relatively large 14x18.7mm ('1.5 inch') BSI (Back Side Illuminated) CMOS sensor, a bright high quality wide-angle to portrait zoom lens, a 3inch tilting LCD touchscreen, and extensive DSLR like manual controls.  The G1X Mark II features a new 12.8 megapixel sensor, a new f/2-3.9 28-120mm equivalent lens, and a DIGIC 6 Image Processor to deliver exceptional image quality, especially from a compact camera; this combination delivers beautiful blur, lower noise, and extraordinary resolution in low-light shooting.  The G1X II can shoot at ISOs of up to 12800 and also has 14-bit RAW for even greater creative control.  Full HD Video recording is possible as well.  Manual settings and operability inherited from EOS cameras impart a high-level shooting experience, and open the door to new creative possibilities.  Substantive luxury defines the design: a neatly clarified sculpture with a firm grip, large tilting touchscreen and optical viewfinder.   A hotshoe with TTL connections and pop-up flash are also provided.  The Hotshoe is also compatible with Canon Electronic Viewfinders EVF-DC2 and EVF-DC1.

The Powershot G1X Mark II was introduced in 2014 as a replacement for the original G1X.   In late 2017 Canon introduced a successor the G1X Mark III.
