The H3D-39 was the world's first Full-frame, 48mm DSLR system. The H3D-39 and H3D-22 has been characterized as the professional commercial photographer's choice. Designed to give the photographer complete benefits of a professional medium format DSLR, but with benefits of the top 35mm DSLRs. This advanced medium format camera features FlexColor software, free choice of the portable CF card storage, the flexible Firewire driven Hasselblad Imagebank, or tethered operation with extended, special capture controls and film compatible (120/220 magazine compatible).
The H3D has sensors for various types of shooting. -39 resolution doubles from that of the -22; however, both are Full-frame 48mm DSLRs with 36x48mm sensor thus allowing capture speed of up to 1.4 seconds per capture. The -31 model has 33x44mm sensor with improved micro-lenses to boost ISO rating by one stop to a new maximum of ISO800 delivering high speed capture architecture at the quickest possible operation at 1.2 seconds per capture. The 48x36mm large format digital capture delivers less noise and improved compositional choice. The H3D guarantees remarkable image quality and moiré free color rendering without gradation dispersion, including in the most subtle lit areas.
