The research conducted at the Leitz optical laboratory in the 1980s led to the production of a unique fluoride-phosphate glass. This very special glass, which was found to eliminate any trace of astigmatism or chromatic aberration, is the at the heart of the 100 f2.8 APO Macro Elmarit's outstanding performance. Introduced in 1988, it remains one of the sharpest, clearest, high contrast lenses ever produced. FEATURES INCLUDE: Built-in lens hood 1:1 possible with optional ELPRO special supplementary lens
