The Leica Q (TYP 116) is a compact, high-resolution, full-frame camera equipped with a dedicated fixed focal length Summilux 28mm f/1.7 ASPH (Aspherical) lens.

Constructed of aluminum and magnesium alloy, the Leica Q was built with durability in mind.  Inside is a 24.2 MP full-frame CMOS sensor powered by the Leica Maestro II series image processor for superior autofocus and high-resolution, low-noise images.  Burst speeds up to 10fps at full resolution. With this sensor, ISO range of 100-50000 is possible.

The mechanical shutter supports speeds of 30 to 1/2000 second while the electronic shutter supports 1/2500 to 1/6000 second.  Exposure modes of Aperture Priority (AP), Manual (M), Programmed Auto (P), and Shutter Priority (S) are quickly set via the rear touchscreen with selectable compensation of -3 EV to +3 EV (in 1/3 EV Steps).

View your scene via the beautifully rendered 3.68 MP LCOS electronic viewfinder or with the 3" 1.04-million dot rear touchscreen.  Autofocus can be set either using traditional buttons or via the touch screen.  If you prefer, with a turn of the lens barrel you can switch over to manual focus for full creative control of the ultra-fast Summilux 28mm f/1.7 ASPH lens with Focus-Peaking and Live View Zoom capability.

The Leica Q also captures full HD 1080p video at either 60 or 30 fps. With the built-in stereo microphones with wind filters, sound is captured with excellent clarity. With full manual controls, you can take full control of your video production.
