The 35mm f/2 Summicron-M Aspherical is a premium moderately wide-angle lens for Leica M-Mount rangefinder cameras.  This elegant and modern design produces outstanding images and is one of the more popular models.  Performance is world class and it's quite compact.  Excellent sharpness, high contrast and a superb resolving power over the entire focusing range are evident at full aperture;   maximum resolving power and contrast are achieved with the aperture stopped down to f/4.  Distortion is effectively non-existant.  The 6-bit mount coding transmits information to digital M cameras for optimization and Summicron 35mm's have always been excellent on Leica film bodies.
