Meter operates on reflex principle with up-right, laterally correct viewing through Pentax pentaprism. CdS element measures reflected light of 1 degree defined in the center of 21 degree viewing screen. Light levels read directly from a scale on the viewing screen and exposure is calculated easily on scales on the side of the meter.
